Dapple Light Beanie Class at A Little Knitty

IN PERSON CLASS AT A LITTLE KNITTY

Learn how to make a texture rich, Dappled Light Beanie using a mixture of post stitches, puff stitches, and open work. You’ll learn how to crochet a hat from the top-down, and how to work in the round. We will practice on some scrap yarn and get started on the beanie in the class. 

There will be a lunch break around noon, you are welcome to bring your own lunch, or can purchase a sandwich (we will do a group order from Jimmy Johns).

Skill level - Intermediate

Crocheters should already know:

  • How to make the following stitches: CH, DC, HDC, and SLST.

  • How to weave in yarn ends.

Required materials (available for purchase in store)

  • 315 yards (288 m) of sock weight yarn

  • US Size D/3: 3.25 mm crochet hook
    or, if you tend to crochet tightly, a US Size E/4: 3.5 mm crochet hook 

  • Tapestry Needle

  • Scissors

  • Tape Measure for measuring gauge 

  • (2) stitch markers
